Job Description

Technical Systems Administrator
Location: Plano, TX
Pay Rate: $44.82/hour

Overview:
The Technical Systems Administrator is responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software across both internal and internet-based environments. This role supports technical research and development to drive continued innovation within the infrastructure while ensuring all systems and procedures align with organizational values and compliance requirements.

Key Duties:
  • Manage and maintain servers, including configuration, installation, upgrades, and performance monitoring.
  • Provide platform infrastructure and general business application support.
  • Maintain server documentation, inventory, and application licensing records.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, HIPAA, and FDA standards.
  • Manage backup systems, change requests, and maintenance through the IS ticketing system.
  • Monitor infrastructure proactively to prevent and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with Application and Development teams to support hardware needs.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call support rotation.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot wired/wireless networks and related equipment.
  • Assist in software/hardware testing and prototype system builds for demos.
  • May travel to other locations as needed.

Skills Required:
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and basic network routing protocols.
  • Experience with Microsoft, Linux, and iOS environments.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, Angular.js, and WebRTC preferred.
  • Experience setting up build machines and supporting software development.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a related field required.

Compliance:
  • Adherence to all company IT policies and procedures.
  • Maintain HIPAA and FDA compliance and security best practices.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
