As a Control Systems Field Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting government operations by conducting comprehensive inventories and assessments of Facility-Related Control Systems (FRCS), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. This position offers a dynamic blend of office-based planning and hands-on fieldwork, providing a unique opportunity to engage with diverse stakeholders and make a tangible impact on national infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities

Lead on-site inventory activities, producing detailed reports on FRCS, ICS, and SCADA systems.

Develop project deliverables, including technical reports, executive summaries, and other required documentation.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders, delivering technical briefings to executive leadership.

Troubleshoot network communication issues, including TCP/IP, Modbus, and OPC protocols.
-
Recommend and assist with control system upgrades or replacements.
-
Perform data analysis to identify and resolve issues, preventing future occurrences.
-
Provide training and support to team members, ensuring adherence to guidelines and optimal performance.
Qualifications
Required:
-
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
-
4–6 years of related work experience.
-
Ability to interpret network topologies, data flow diagrams, and system/network schematics.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Strong written and oral communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
-
Proven ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
-
Willingness to travel at least 25% to CONUS and OCONUS sites.

Active Secret clearance required.

Valid passport required.
Preferred:
-
Knowledge of control systems or operational technology, including FRCS, ICS, and SCADA.

Familiarity with control system software such as Wonderware, ICONICS, and FactoryTalk Studio.

Understanding of building automation systems like Niagara, Metasys, Trane, and WebControl.
