Structural Technician III
Location: Vandalia, OH
Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour

Location: Vandalia, OH
Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble and/or create major assembly structures and perform minor part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.
- Align parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures.
- Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
- Modify incomplete and complete assemblies and incorporate design changes as required.
- Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control or other procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- Must own tools in good working order.
- Ability to interpret and understand applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.
- Proficiency in completing installations per technical drawings while maintaining proper edge distance and pitch.
- Progressive experience with structural assembly, minor part-fitting techniques, and repair/refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal.
- Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks.
Preferred:
- Ability to travel as required.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the U.S. Department of Defense, NASA, or the U.S. Military.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance (may be required).
Education & Experience
- Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 5 or more years of relevant experience.
- Higher-level education may substitute for experience.
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
