Job Description
We are on the lookout for a skilled Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about designing, developing, and supporting cutting-edge technical solutions. Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues within complex, integrated enterprise applications.
- Extract technical requirements from broader capability needs and objectives.
- Oversee the software development lifecycle, managing requirements prioritization, adaptation to changes, and resolution of conflicts.
- Develop, test, and deploy system enhancements in collaboration with stakeholders, team members, and management.
- Conduct system analysis, perform testing and debugging, and trace defects to their root cause.
Qualifications:
- Security Clearance: ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE OR HIGHER WITH SCI ELIGIBILITY REQUIRED.
- Experience: At least 3 years of object-oriented software development experience, with a strong background in Java.
- Programming Proficiency: Solid understanding of at least one programming language (Java and Python preferred) and the ability to write efficient, maintainable code. Openness to learning and adapting to new programming languages is essential.
- Software Development Methodologies: Familiarity with agile methodologies and effective application in team settings.
- Design Patterns: Good understanding of common software design patterns and their application in solving complex problems.
- Debugging and Troubleshooting: Strong skills in identifying and resolving technical issues independently.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent ability to work effectively in a team, communicate clearly, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality software products.
Requirements:
- Strong foundation in object-oriented design principles.
- Knowledge of messaging integration patterns.
- Proven ability to develop solutions from concept to completion.
- Availability for after-hours emergency response as needed.
- On-site work required (no remote work option).
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Tools and Technologies:
- Experience with Data/ML Pipelines (S3, Athena, Glue, Airflow, Kinesis, Kafka, Sagemaker) and Serverless Applications (S3, Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, AppSync, Cognito).
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code, Cloud Native technologies, AWS, and Serverless architecture.
- High technical standards, including design patterns, clean coding practices, peer reviews, and unit testing.
- Familiarity with AWS GovCloud and DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) is a plus.
