Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Systems Engineer to support a cutting-edge effort focused on the design and development of next-generation military aircraft. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of military aviation by leading system-level design, integration, and technical execution to achieve optimal performance, safety, and efficiency.
As a Senior Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the conceptualization, development, and refinement of advanced aircraft systems and structures. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—including aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, materials, and manufacturing—to ensure successful execution from concept through production.
In support of the UJTS program, you will research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy, and improve cutting-edge aerospace products and services. These efforts span advanced mission payloads, electronic systems, highly integrated aircraft platforms, and space-related systems. You will contribute across the full product lifecycle through design, analysis, and testing of complex aerodynamic components, structures, and systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Support systems engineering activities for next-generation military aircraft programs
- Contribute to aircraft conceptual design, system architecture development, and requirements definition and allocation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure effective system integration
- Perform design, analysis, and validation of advanced aircraft systems and structures
- Identify and manage technical risks and support high-impact trade studies
- Support system integration, verification, and validation (V&V) activities
- Establish, track, and manage key Technical Performance Measurements (TPMs)
Required Skills & Experience
Must-Haves:
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience working in multidisciplinary design and development teams
- Thorough understanding of:
- Requirements management
- Functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation
- Systems design and systems integration
- Technical risk identification and management strategies
- Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
Preferred:
- Advanced experience with requirements management and system modeling tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic, and MATLAB
- Knowledge of industry-standard design principles, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Experience or certification aligned with INCOSE standards
- Background in the Aerospace & Defense industry
- Experience leading baseline definition and maturation in complex development environments
- Strong experience establishing and tracking Technical Performance Measurements (TPMs)
Education
- Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering or a related discipline
- Typically 10+ years of relevant experience
