Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Solutions Architect to design, propose, and deliver innovative solutions that address our customers’ complex simulation and training needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement
  • Collaborate with military and industry clients to understand training and technical requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by clearly articulating the capabilities of our simulation products.

  • Technical Expertise & Solutions Design
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of proprietary and integrated simulation technologies.
  • Translate customer requirements into comprehensive, commercially viable technical solutions.
  • Perform product demonstrations and collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposed solutions align with client objectives.

  • Cross-Functional Communication
  • Act as a liaison among sales, engineering, finance, product management, and customers.
  • Present complex technical details in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Requirements Gathering
  • Assess customer needs thoroughly to design compelling, competitive solutions.
  • Document stakeholder expectations to ensure full alignment across internal departments.

  • Commercial Awareness
  • Balance technical innovation with realistic project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Maximize value for both the customer and the organization through prudent business judgment.

  • Writing & Documentation
  • Draft technical proposals and presentations for internal and external use.
  • Maintain high standards of clarity and structure in all written communications.

  • Organizational Efficiency
  • Manage multiple opportunity responses with varied outputs and timelines.
  • Utilize standardized project management methodologies to ensure consistency and efficiency.

  • Implementation & Leadership Support
  • Provide leadership in pre-sales technical decision-making.
  • Guide development teams, ensuring the architecture meets performance, scalability, and security requirements.
  • Offer assistance and expertise during initial implementation and acceptance phases.

  • Domain Knowledge
  • Maintain a broad understanding of the defense, simulation, and training sectors.
  • Stay informed of emerging industry trends to continually refine solutions.
    Required Qualifications
    • Proven experience in solutions architecture or systems engineering, particularly in simulation or related technology fields
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly
    • Demonstrated expertise in customer requirements management and technical solution design
    • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware and software fundamentals
    • Formal technical writing training or equivalent experience in proposal development
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills
    • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a technical field (e.g., Physics, Computer Science), or equivalent work experience

    Desired Qualifications
    • Previous exposure to the defense simulation industry
    • Hands-on experience with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) simulation software (e.g., VBS or similar)
    • Familiarity with formal software development processes and project management methodologies
    • Practical knowledge of systems integration in military training contexts
