Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer
We’re looking for a skilled Full-Stack Software Engineer to lead a team dedicated to developing advanced modeling and simulation tools that support the U.S. military medical community. This role blends hands-on software development with technical leadership—offering the opportunity to work across legacy desktop systems and contribute to the modernization of web-based, cloud-deployed applications.
Location: Huntsville, AL (minimal travel required)
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain both desktop (WPF, WinForms) and web applications (Blazor, ASP.NET)
- Develop and integrate back-end APIs and cloud services
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to deliver intuitive, high-performing user experiences
- Lead a small agile team (3–5 developers), oversee sprint planning, code reviews, and mentor junior engineers
- Contribute to architectural decisions and maintain coding standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in software development with deep expertise in C#, .NET, and SQL Server
- Proven experience in both desktop and web application development
- Strong understanding of full software development lifecycle and agile processes
Preferred:
- Experience with Modeling & Simulation (M&S), Docker, AWS/Azure, and third-party UI tools (Infragistics, DevExpress, ThinkGeo)
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CMMI-based processes
