Job Description
We're seeking a dedicated and highly-skilled Software Engineer with expertise in various programming languages and engineering tools. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, and experience in cross-platform builds, packaging, and automation. This role requires a US citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a DoD TS clearance.
Needed Skills and Qualifications:
- Must possess an advanced degree (MS) in Software Engineering or Computer Science, highlighting significant hands-on experience in the software development field.
- Previous experience in software or firmware development is crucial.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) within an engineering context.
- Openness to frequent travel to a range of locations including contractor and government sites, among others.
- Demonstrated experience with programming languages such as C++, Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Expertise in cross-platform building, packaging, and automation leveraging CMake.
- Familiarity with VSCode and container-based development.
- Proficiency with engineering and analysis tools like MATLAB.
- Should be a US citizen holding an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Should be eligible for obtaining a DoD TS clearance.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Recent engagement with programs or technologies linked to Ballistic Missile Defense Systems.
- A comprehensive understanding of Missile Defense Programs; particular experience with Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) is highly beneficial.
- Acquaintance with DoD software engineering, modeling, and simulation standards, and best practices.
- Additional experience with Electron, Jenkins, Docker would be preferred.
