Software Developer I
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and innovative Software Developer I to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for an early-career developer who is passionate about building high-quality software solutions and eager to expand their technical expertise in a collaborative environment.
The Software Developer I will contribute to the design, development, testing, and implementation of software applications and features while working alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies, contribute to meaningful projects, and grow within a dynamic development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and document software applications and features under the guidance of senior engineering staff
- Participate in the development of new products, customer demonstrations, and software enhancements
- Implement software solutions that align with customer requirements and technical design specifications
- Collaborate effectively with development teams to deliver high-quality, maintainable code
- Contribute to small project teams or actively support larger development initiatives
- Apply industry best practices, coding standards, and modern software development methodologies
- Identify opportunities to improve development processes, workflows, and code quality
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues in a timely manner
- Continuously learn emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to support professional growth
- Contribute innovative ideas that enhance team performance and customer satisfaction
- Associate’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Game Design, or a related technical field; equivalent professional experience may be considered
- Proficiency in C# programming
- 0–2 years of professional software development experience
- Experience working with the Unity game engine
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience developing interactive or simulation-based applications
- Familiarity with software testing and debugging practices
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum development methodologies
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns
- Passion for learning new technologies and improving development processes
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while working at a computer workstation
- Frequent communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders
- Occasional travel may be required
