Job Description

As a Senior SQL Developer/Administrator, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining sophisticated database solutions that support essential operations. Located in either New Cumberland, PA, or Huntsville, AL, this onsite position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the stability, security, and efficiency of our database platforms. Responsibilities:
- Ensure the stability, security, monitoring, and performance of the database platform through end-to-end systems management and technology governance.
- Design and implement complex functions, stored procedures, and queries to support applications and business intelligence reporting.
- Optimize database performance and maintain database integrity and security.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of relational database management systems and architecture design.
- Ability to create complex functions, stored procedures, and queries for applications and reporting.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and debugging SQL code.
- Familiarity with source control management processes for SQL code.
- Proficiency in optimizing database performance.
- Knowledge of indexing, querying, and normalization.
- Experience in analyzing queries, developing security protocols, and problem resolution.
- Strong data management skills with an understanding of database integrity and security.
- Experience with documentation, including schematics, configurations, performance reports, user manuals, SOPs, and Change Management requests.
- Must obtain two continuing education certifications within 6 months related to primary skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the installation, configuration, and consolidation of databases.
- Knowledge of designing and modifying database structures and system interfaces.
- Experience in data synchronization and security provisions.
- Ability to assist with Incident and Problem response management and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with data class assignments, data architecture, data standards, and data dictionaries.
- Support for resource management in SAN and data repositories.
Education and Certifications:
- BS in Information Technology.
- At least 60 months of SQL Development experience.
- Security+ CE certification preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen.
- Hold or capable of obtaining a Secret Security Clearance.
