Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Linux to join our dynamic Technical Operations team. You'll play a critical role in shaping, building, and managing the core infrastructure and tools that empower our developers to efficiently deploy and operate high-quality products. Responsibilities:

Architect and Implement Linux Infrastructure: Design secure, scalable, and highly available Linux-based infrastructure and define architectural best practices.

Linux Administration & Automation: Manage and automate provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).

Private Cloud Management: Design and manage VMware solutions including vSphere, NSX, Tanzu on Dell PowerEdge and PowerStore.

Public Cloud Solutions: Develop and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS.

Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Drive IaC practices using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation to ensure consistency and reliability.

Automation & Orchestration: Create automation solutions using Kubernetes, Docker Compose, and similar tools for efficient infrastructure management.

CI/CD Optimization: Enhance continuous integration and delivery pipelines to streamline software deployment.

Monitoring & Observability: Develop comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively manage platform performance.

Security & Compliance: Integrate security best practices and collaborate with security teams to ensure adherence to standards.

Capacity & Performance: Continuously monitor and optimize platform performance and scalability.

Troubleshooting & Incident Response: Provide expert-level support, participate in incident resolution, and conduct root cause analyses.

Collaboration & Mentorship: Partner with development teams and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaboration.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
-
5+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator.
-
3+ years in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles.
-
Proven experience automating Linux infrastructure.

Strong expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Go).

Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

Experience with VMware and AWS environments.

Skilled with CI/CD pipeline tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
-
Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
-
Robust understanding of Linux networking principles.
-
Deep knowledge of Linux security best practices.
-
Certifications: RHCE, LFCE, CompTIA Linux+, AWS Certifications, VMware certifications.

Experience managing private clouds specifically using VMware (vSphere, NSX, Tanzu).

Previous exposure to infrastructure optimization and cost management strategies.
