RF Tech
Job Description
- Perform testing, alignment, troubleshooting, and repair of RF and electronic system components.
- Operate specialized RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and related instruments.
- Diagnose and resolve performance issues in high-frequency circuits, assemblies, and electronic systems.
- Conduct functional, environmental, and acceptance testing in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Perform soldering, rework, and assembly of electronic modules, circuit card assemblies, and printed circuit boards.
- Read, interpret, and work from schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals.
- Accurately document test results, troubleshooting activities, repairs, and performance data.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
- Adhere to established safety, quality, handling, and configuration management procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience working with RF, microwave, or electronic systems.
- Familiarity with antenna theory, RF propagation principles, and high-frequency electronic circuits.
- Proficiency with RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Experience with Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) component-level troubleshooting and repair.
- Knowledge of low- and high-voltage power supply operation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent training in electronics, RF technology, engineering technology, or a related field.
- Experience working in highly regulated manufacturing, aerospace, telecommunications, industrial, or technology environments.
- Knowledge of industry compliance, quality, and test standards.
- Experience with RF shielding, tuning, calibration, or high-power RF systems.
