About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior RF Design Engineer to lead the development and support of high-performance radio-frequency systems and components. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex design challenges, conducting detailed RF analysis, and working across multiple disciplines to bring advanced electronics from concept to production.
The role involves both new product development and ongoing support for existing RF designs, including troubleshooting, updates, and component lifecycle management. Typical development ranges up to 6 GHz, with opportunities to work above this range depending on project needs.
You will contribute to a collaborative engineering environment focused on innovation, continuous learning, and delivering reliable solutions for mission-critical applications.

Primary Responsibilities 1. RF Design & Development

Lead the design and development of RF circuits, components, and subsystems (e.g., antennas, filters, mixers, oscillators, amplifiers).

Perform RF simulation and modeling to evaluate performance and optimize designs.

Support existing designs, including troubleshooting and redesign due to obsolescence or manufacturing issues.
-
Generate detailed specifications, schematics, and documentation for RF hardware.

Ensure RF designs comply with applicable EMC/EMI and environmental requirements.

Develop and execute test plans to verify RF performance and reliability.

Conduct hands-on RF testing using equipment such as:

Vector network analyzers
-
Spectrum analyzers
-
Signal generators
-

Apply best practices in RF test automation and scripted validation methods.

Analyze test data, identify root causes, and refine designs to meet performance targets.

Work closely with hardware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to integrate RF systems into complete products.

Provide guidance and technical support to less experienced engineers and technicians.

Support seamless transition of designs from engineering to production.

Stay informed on evolving RF technologies, components, and tools.

Participate in design reviews and contribute technical recommendations for improvement.

Incorporate best practices and new methodologies into ongoing design efforts.
Job Requirements Required Qualifications
-
Hands-on experience designing software-defined radios (SDRs).
-
Proficiency with RF CAD and PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Microwave Office).

Strong practical experience using RF test and measurement equipment.

Proven ability to lead RF development projects from concept to full production release.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects.

High attention to detail and commitment to quality and reliability.

Experience with RF simulation tools such as LTSpice, ADS, CST, or similar.

Must be a U.S. person (required for access to controlled technical information).

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a closely related field.

Minimum 7+ years of experience in RF design and engineering, preferably in communication systems, radio test, or aerospace electronics.

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in RF or microwave systems
