We are seeking a Purchasing Specialist who excels in a fast-paced setting, adept at handling substantial workloads with stringent deadlines. Essential Qualifications:
- Fast-Paced Experience: Proven track record in a very fast-paced environment.
- Deadline Mastery: Experience with extremely tight deadlines and quick turnarounds.
- Multitasking Efficiency: Exceptional ability to juggle multiple tasks seamlessly.
- Time Management Prowess: Excellent skills in managing time effectively.
- Independent Judgment: Capacity to decide when extra hours are necessary to meet objectives.
- Communication Expertise: Excellent in both written and verbal communication.
- Attention to Detail: Extremely detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Practical Wisdom: Robust common sense and understanding of urgency.
- Prioritization Skill: Ability to prioritize critical jobs and select the best vendors based on pricing and lead time.
Preferred Attributes:
- Specialized Procurement Experience: Experience in locating hard-to-find parts and comparing specs for alternates/equivalents.
- Manufacturing Background: Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Quickbooks, JobBOSS (E2/Shoptech) for PO entry and item setup.
- Small Company Experience: Background in purchasing for a smaller company, demonstrating a more rounded experience.
