Job Description
We are on the hunt for a seasoned Project Engineer to join our client's team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in steering projects from conceptualization to completion, coordinating various program efforts, and ensuring the technical design aligns with client requirements. If you are someone who can thrive as the primary customer technical interface and has a knack for managing both hardware and software elements, we'd like to meet you. This role necessitates some extended travel periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for the technical aspect of proposals, from conceptualization to final delivery
- Maintain technical oversight of program design, ensuring alignment with project specifications
- Efficiently manage, coordinate, and integrate various program efforts
- Evaluate and confirm the fidelity of technical designs to meet client needs
- Lead design review processes
- Act as the primary point of contact for technical customer queries
- Manage the release processes for program hardware and software
- Provide essential engineering support during the manufacturing phase
- Oversee the integration of hardware-software within the program
- Act as the chief representative during in-house and on-site customer acceptances, which may require extensive travel
Qualifications:
- For mid-level: Minimum of 5 years' experience in Project Engineering
- For senior-level: 7 years of experience or more
- At least 5 years of experience in flight simulator project engineering or 8 years in developing complex hardware/software systems
- Must be a United States Citizen due to contractual obligations
- Must pass an initial background check
- Must obtain and maintain an active Department of Defense security clearance
- Willingness to travel within the continental US and overseas
