Operations Research Analyst
Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005 US
Job Description
Are you a seasoned problem-solver with a passion for analytics and strategic operations? We are in search of a dedicated Operations Research Analyst to join our team at our prestigious Aberdeen Proving Ground site. This role will become a critical part of our operations, offering you the chance to make significant contributions from day one.
Your Key Contributions:
As our Operations Research Analyst, your responsibilities will encompass a broad array of cost analysis tasks throughout the lifecycle of our programs. You'll craft and evaluate cost assessments, providing critical input on system development, demonstration, and production strategies. Moreover, you'll have the opportunity to assess the impact on program and system costs, including analysis of prototype systems.
Your expertise will also be called upon in working with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop independent government cost estimates (IGCEs) that can withstand scrutiny at the Army and DoD level.
Part of your role will be to serve as a Working Leader, mentoring junior personnel and providing technical guidance to meet our rigorous requirements. As such, you'll play a crucial role in reviewing and refining the work of your colleagues to ensure quality and accuracy.
A key part of your role will involve coordination with Contract Officer Representatives, making your ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse teams all the more important.
What You Bring:
You have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or Data Analytics. Your professional certifications, such as an industry-level cost estimating certification (e.g., ICEAA CCEA), are a testament to your dedication and expertise.
You bring at least twelve years of experience in preparing and updating cost estimates using ACEIT. This should ideally include experience with a DoD Program Executive Office (PEO), Project Manager (O6 PM), or Product Manager (O5 PdM).
You have proven expertise with MS Excel and a strong ability to conduct complex analyses. You either hold an Active Secret Clearance or have the eligibility to obtain one.
Note: This role may require access to classified information. Therefore, eligibility requirements for a United States Department of Defense security clearance apply. Also, as a federal contractor, we are obligated to follow our client’s infectious disease protocols.
