Job Description


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and testing of advanced military simulation systems. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of realistic and effective training tools that prepare military personnel for real-world scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:
  • Design mechanical components and systems for military simulation devices.
  • Develop detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of mechanical components with electronic, software, and optical systems.

Prototyping and Testing:
  • Build and test prototypes to evaluate performance and identify potential improvements.
  • Conduct simulations and analyses to validate design concepts.
  • Perform failure analysis and implement design changes to enhance system reliability and performance.

Project Management:
  • Manage projects from conception through to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and components.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and documentation.

Innovation and Improvement:
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and military simulation technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in design and manufacturing processes.
  • Contribute to the development of new simulation products and enhancements to existing systems.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in the defense or simulation industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with simulation tools and techniques for mechanical analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance may be required.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with military simulation systems or defense-related projects.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering and integration.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to military equipment.
  • Experience with additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping.
