  • Release, prioritize, and coordinate work orders across the production floor.

  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules in response to changing customer demand, material shortages, equipment downtime, labor availability, or other operational constraints.

  • Expedite materials, components, and work orders to prevent or resolve production delays.

  • Coordinate with purchasing and supply chain personnel to ensure raw materials and purchased components are available when required.

  • Track and report production performance, scheduling metrics, and operational KPIs.

  • Participate in production and operations meetings and provide updates on schedules, priorities, material constraints, and delivery commitments.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving schedule adherence, reducing lead times, increasing throughput, and improving on-time delivery.
Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in production scheduling, manufacturing planning, production control, expediting, or a related manufacturing operations role.

  • Demonstrated experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Working knowledge of production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and material requirements planning principles.

  • Experience working with ERP and/or MRP systems.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate production and scheduling data.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with production, purchasing, engineering, inventory, warehouse, and other cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to analyze production information, identify potential issues, and make sound scheduling decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to remain effective and make informed decisions when production priorities or customer requirements change.
Desired Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field.

  • APICS / ASCM certification or other relevant supply chain or production planning certification.

  • Experience developing production metrics, reports, or performance dashboards.
