Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Orlando, FL (On-site)
Position Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time
Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems across a variety of engineering projects. This role focuses on developing robust, well-analyzed designs using 3D modeling tools and Finite Elements Analysis (FEA). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and refine mechanical systems and components using 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.

  • Perform Finite Elements Analysis (FEA) to evaluate structural integrity, validate design assumptions, and optimize performance.

  • Collaborate closely with drafters, designers, and engineers across multiple disciplines to ensure accurate and efficient design execution.

  • Review and approve technical drawings, calculations, and engineering documentation for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

  • Support design reviews, troubleshooting efforts, and engineering change evaluations.

  • Participate in site visits and field verifications as needed to support design accuracy and implementation.
Qualifications

  • Proven experience in mechanical engineering design and analysis.

  • Strong proficiency in 3D design software, including Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD; working knowledge of SolidWorks is acceptable.

  • Comprehensive understanding and practical application of Finite Elements Analysis.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field required.

  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification required.
Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with complex mechanical assemblies and engineered systems.

  • Familiarity with applicable engineering codes, standards, and best practices.

  • Ability to provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drafting staff.
Work Environment
This is an on-site role in Orlando, FL, with potential for occasional site visits to support project coordination and design validation.
