Job Description
Structural Technician III – Hagerstown, MD ($42/hr)
An established aerospace organization in Hagerstown, Maryland is seeking an experienced Structural Technician III to join its production and assembly team. This hands-on role involves high-precision structural work supporting advanced aircraft manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and fit major and minor aircraft structures using tools such as drills, riveters, saws, and reamers
- Align and secure components on jigs or vehicles using templates and fixtures
- Verify accuracy of parts and assemblies using micrometers, calipers, and precision instruments
- Perform modifications and repairs to incomplete or finished assemblies
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards in accordance with aerospace procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED and at least 5 years of structural assembly or related experience
- Strong ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals
- Proficiency in structural fitting, riveting, and fastener installation (rivets, hi-locks, etc.)
- Must have own tools in good working order
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
- Preferred: Aerospace, defense, NASA, or military background
