Structural Technician III
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Pay Rate: $43 per hour
Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Structural Technician III to join our team in Englewood, CO. In this role, you’ll use your technical expertise to assemble and create major aerospace structures and minor part-fitting operations. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assemble and/or create major assembly structures and perform minor part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.
  • Align parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures.
  • Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.
  • Modify incomplete and complete assemblies and incorporate design changes.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or control procedures.
  • Maintain safety and workmanship standards in all operations.
Must-Haves:
  • Must own tools in good working order.
  • Ability to interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.
  • Proficiency in completing installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch.
  • Progressive experience with structural assembly and repair, including airframe corrosion removal.
  • Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks.

Preferred:
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Background in the Aerospace & Defense Industry, U.S. Department of Defense, NASA, or U.S. Military.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance (may be required).
Education & Experience
  • Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred: Higher-level degree (may substitute for experience).
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
