Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Flight Simulation Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain real-time flight simulation systems models integrated within broader simulator training systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, project managers, government contractors, and customer technical teams to ensure simulation components meet rigorous quality and performance standards and project requirements. This is an immediate-hire, full-time position located on-site at the company’s headquarters in Hampton, VA. We are looking for candidates who take ownership, desire to grow/advance in the position, enjoy challenges, and take on increasing levels of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Simulation Development: Design, develop, implement, and optimize real-time flight simulation models and algorithms.
  • Systems Integration: Work closely with engineering, software, and hardware teams to integrate simulation model components with broader system architectures.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting: Lead testing efforts, diagnose issues, and implement enhancements to ensure simulation accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with project managers, government contractors, and remote team members to meet project milestones.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of simulation processes, adapting to increased workloads and new operational strategies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor (or higher) degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  •  Proven experience (BS 5+ or MS +3 yrs) in flight simulation development or similar real-time systems engineering.
  • Familiarity with simulation software, real-time operating systems, and embedded systems.
  • ? Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
  • Experience with government contracting or exposure to governmental engineering practices is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, and presentation) and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in remote or hybrid settings.
  • Proven experience with C/C++ programming and debugging.
  • Experience using Python/MATLAB and possess the ability to learn new programming languages.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
