Position Summary
We are seeking a Field Engineer responsible for the assembly, installation, integration, testing, and support of advanced simulation and visual display systems. This is a highly hands-on, customer-facing role supporting deployments across defense, aerospace, public safety, marine, and other technical industries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of mechanical aptitude, technical troubleshooting skills, networking knowledge, and experience working in field environments.
Key Responsibilities Installation & Integration
We are seeking a Field Engineer responsible for the assembly, installation, integration, testing, and support of advanced simulation and visual display systems. This is a highly hands-on, customer-facing role supporting deployments across defense, aerospace, public safety, marine, and other technical industries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of mechanical aptitude, technical troubleshooting skills, networking knowledge, and experience working in field environments.
Key Responsibilities Installation & Integration
- Assemble, install, modify, and configure simulation and visual display systems at customer locations.
- Perform dome-screen installations, truss assembly, and projector mounting and configuration.
- Install, terminate, label, and manage cabling including Cat5, fiber optic, and copper infrastructure.
- Configure and support computer hardware, operating systems, and software installations.
- Perform basic networking tasks including Layer 2 switch installation, configuration, and hardware addressing.
- Support low-voltage electrical installation and integration activities.
- Collect system performance data using test equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct site acceptance testing and verify system performance against customer requirements.
- Serve as a primary technical interface during system installation, testing, and deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, and system integration issues.
- Provide customer training on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Support customer service requests and assist with ongoing maintenance and repair activities.
- Generate status reports and communicate project progress to stakeholders.
- Perform incoming inspections of materials and components.
- Assist with system assembly, testing, packaging, and shipment activities.
- Coordinate and oversee third-party contractors when required.
- Assist in the development of technical documentation, procedures, and installation guides.
- Participate in project planning, proposal reviews, and technical preparation activities.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives and maintain awareness of evolving technologies.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant technical, field engineering, systems integration, installation, or maintenance experience.
- Combination of technical and mechanical assembly, construction, installation, or integration experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with computer systems, hardware, software installation, and basic networking concepts.
- Ability to read and follow technical documentation, schematics, and installation procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds overhead and work safely on ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and elevated platforms.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%, including both CONUS and OCONUS assignments.
- Valid driver's license and current U.S. passport.
- Experience installing, maintaining, or supporting simulator visual display systems.
- Field service, remote deployment, construction, or installation project experience.
- Experience with project coordination or team leadership responsibilities.
- Networking and computer system configuration experience.
- Experience supporting simulation, training, aerospace, defense, or government programs.
- Familiarity with projector systems, visual display technologies, AV systems, or immersive environments.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

- Ability to work independently in dynamic field environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
