We are seeking an Electrical Engineer, with a focus on Electrical Design, to play a pivotal role in the development of simulated aircraft systems. This unique position involves designing and specifying interfacing wiring, creating system diagrams, and selecting appropriate hardware for simulation equipment. The individual will work in conjunction with various other engineering teams to develop quality products, ensure system safety, and actively participate in client meetings. This opportunity offers multiple levels of experience, from entry to senior, and requires proficiency in various programming languages and scripting environments. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or has equivalent industry experience.
As an Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will primarily revolve around the electrical design of simulated aircraft systems. This entails designing power and I/O distribution systems and interfacing different avionics and training equipment using various communication mechanisms such as Mil-1553, ARINC-429, reflective memory, and Ethernet.
You'll collaborate with different engineering departments to ensure the production of quality goods and processes, lending your expertise to the design of electrical systems under the supervision of higher-level engineers. You'll also help to maintain the safety and security of our company systems.
Your role will involve close work with vendors and suppliers to specify hardware and find effective technology solutions. Additionally, you will work in tandem with our Computer Aided Design team to ensure precise drawing packages are delivered to the manufacturing department.
Active participation in client meetings, including requirements review, design reviews, and acceptance testing, will also be a part of your duties.
- Entry Level: 0 to 4 years of relevant experience
- Mid Level: 4 to 7 years of relevant experience
- Senior Level: 7 to 10 years of relevant experience
The role requires proficiency in developing code on Linux and Windows systems and fluency in programming languages such as C, C++, or C#. Experience in a scripting environment such as Python, Bash, or Powershell is desirable, as well as competency in version control systems like Git or SVN. A strong technical understanding with at least one area of specialization is expected.
Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with a strong ability to program in C. Alternatively, we are also open to individuals with equivalent experience and three years in related aircraft or flight simulation systems.
