Director of Operations

Summary:
An established organization is in search of a seasoned Director of Operations to oversee its ongoing operations and procedures. This role involves managing daily field operations from a managerial standpoint, ensuring that all field teams adhere to organizational policies and procedures and acting as a crucial member of the senior management team.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards to evaluate organizational efficiency and effectiveness; identify areas for improvement.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate customer contract procedures.
  • Implement policies and procedures to enhance day-to-day field operations.
  • Ensure work environments are adequate and safe.
  • Plan, direct, control, implement, evaluate, monitor, and forecast budgets and costs at each site to meet financial objectives.
  • Communicate and clarify new directives, policies, or procedures to task order managers; for significant changes, convene meetings with the entire operations staff to discuss changes, address questions, and boost morale.
  • Enhance customer service and satisfaction through changes in policies and procedures.
  • Lead coordination and integration of efforts among field operations, engineering, technology, and customer service departments to optimize workflow and reduce operational costs.
  • Uphold and project a positive organizational image to employees, customers, industry, and community.
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Manage discipline and termination of employees in line with organizational policies.
  • Undertake additional related tasks as necessary.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • In-depth knowledge of practices and policies relevant to statements of work.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong managerial and diplomatic abilities.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Superior analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
