Are you passionate about developing and verifying advanced hardware solutions for avionics systems? We’re seeking a highly motivated Hardware Design Engineer to spearhead the design and verification of cutting-edge avionics hardware. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with DO-254 standards while integrating DO-178C software requirements, contributing to next-generation aerospace technologies. Key Responsibilities: ? Hardware Verification & Compliance
Develop and document Hardware Verification Plans (HVPs) and compliance artifacts in alignment with DO-254 across Design Assurance Levels (DAL A–E).
Ensure all designs meet FAA, EASA, and DOD certification requirements.
? Certification & Documentation
Generate comprehensive certification documentation, ensuring regulatory adherence throughout the design lifecycle.
? Hardware-Software Integration
Work closely with software teams to integrate DO-178C software requirements into the hardware development process.
? PCB Design & Communication Protocols
Design schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard tools like Altium Designer.
Implement and validate avionics communication protocols (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, Ethernet, TSN) and embedded interfaces (PCIe, I2C, SPI, UART).
Conduct verification and validation activities in compliance with DO-254 standards.
Perform environmental testing per RTCA DO-160 and MIL-STD-810 requirements.
Required Qualifications: ? DO-254 Compliance Expertise – Extensive experience in DO-254 hardware development and verification at various DAL levels.
? Hardware-Software Integration – Strong understanding of DO-178C and its impact on hardware design.
? Certification & Regulatory Experience – Proven success in developing HVPs, compliance artifacts, and certification documentation under FAA/EASA/DOD guidelines.
? Technical Proficiency – Familiarity with ARM, PowerPC, and x86 architectures; skilled in Altium Designer for PCB design.
? Communication Protocols – Deep knowledge of ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, Ethernet, TSN, PCIe, I2C, SPI, and UART.
? Environmental Testing – Hands-on experience applying DO-254, DO-160, and MIL-STD-810 verification processes. Preferred Qualifications: ? Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams or managing complex avionics projects.
? Advanced certifications or specialized training in hardware verification or avionics design.
? Familiarity with emerging avionics technologies and electronics manufacturing advancements.
