Join our innovative team as a Technical Trainer, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of IT professionals. Based near the vibrant Ft Meade, MD, this full-time, on-site position is perfect for someone passionate about delivering cutting-edge training in IT and related fields. You'll be instrumental in developing and imparting knowledge on a range of topics, ensuring our learners are equipped with the skills needed in today's fast-evolving tech landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive training programs on technical subjects such as virtualization, range creation, databases, identity/authentication services, and networking.
- Collaborate with content developers to create and revise training materials, including lesson plans, presentations, and handouts.
- Facilitate training sessions across various formats: in-person, online, or hybrid.
- Apply effective classroom management techniques to ensure timely completion of courses.
- Tailor training programs to meet specific needs, evaluating and updating them regularly.
- Work closely with subject matter experts for accuracy and relevancy of training content.
- Support in building networks essential for course delivery.
- Assess and enhance the effectiveness of training programs, recommending improvements as necessary.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in training and education.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in technical training or education.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or other DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment).
- Profound understanding of the technologies covered in training.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Skilled in engaging with diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical.
- Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
Special Requirements/Security Clearance:
- Top Secret/SCI security clearance required. (must be able to obtain within 90 days, you do not have to walk in with a clearance)
- Openness to occasional travel, not exceeding 25% annually.
Other Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship status required, with the ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance as per government contract requirements.
