Job Description


Seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Configuration Manager to support a GEOINT-focused maintenance and sustainment program within a classified intelligence environment. This role is responsible for maintaining and improving configuration management processes to ensure mission-critical IT systems meet operational and security requirements.

The position involves close coordination across government, contractor, and intelligence community stakeholders, supporting secure system operations, documentation, and compliance within a high-security environment.

Key Responsibilities Configuration Management

  • Maintain and sustain configuration management processes, including configuration identification, control, and auditing

  • Prepare, update, and manage Information Assurance (IA) documentation to support system authorization (e.g., Certificate to Operate)

  • Track and document system changes to ensure compliance with security and operational standards

  • Maintain an inventory database of software assets, including COTS, GOTS, scripts, and databases
Security & System Support

  • Execute security and vulnerability scans across IT systems and coordinate remediation efforts with system administrators

  • Ensure systems remain compliant with cybersecurity and IA requirements

  • Support ongoing monitoring and documentation of system configurations and changes
Continuity of Operations (COOP)

  • Support and maintain IT Continuity of Operations (COOP) plans

  • Develop and maintain documentation for system recovery, operational continuity, and mission-critical processes

  • Ensure backup and recovery processes are properly documented and maintained
Documentation & Process Management

  • Create and maintain technical documentation including:

    • Standard operating procedures

    • Process documentation

    • Knowledge articles and user guides

  • Ensure documentation is current, accurate, and aligned with mission requirements
Collaboration & Stakeholder Support

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including government personnel, contractors, and intelligence community stakeholders

  • Support coordination across enterprise-level systems and mission partners

  • Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance

  • Security+ certification (DoD 8140 compliant or equivalent)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in configuration management within a DoD or Intelligence Community environment

  • Experience managing configuration processes, including documentation, audits, and control activities

  • Experience working with IT systems such as:

    • Windows environments

    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

    • VMware
