Contracts Specialist

Job Description
We're currently in search of a seasoned Contracts Specialist to join our team at our on-site location in Aberdeen Proving Ground. This pivotal role is subject to the award of the project and calls for an expert in contract management and acquisition processes.
Your responsibilities would encompass preparing acquisition documents, outlining technical and operational requirements for government approval. You will work with diverse documents such as service contract approvals requests (SCAs), PWSs, Statements of Work (SOWs), Statements of Objective (SOOs), labor category descriptions, Justification and Approval Documents (J&As), independent Government cost estimates (IGCEs), quality assurance surveillance plans (QASPs), acquisition plans (APs), acquisition strategies (ASs), limited competition memos, and more.
In addition to contributing to the proposal evaluation process, you'll support post-award activities by preparing monthly status updates and expenditure reports, performing variance analyses to highlight significant issues, and facilitating invoice processing via the Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF).
Your role will also include entering and validating data in our portfolio management database application, generating accurate reports, and offering diverse acquisition support. This support extends to researching contract types, program planning, tracking milestones, mentoring lower level Acquisition Specialists, and providing Federal Acquisition Regulation guidance.
To qualify for this role, we're seeking individuals with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience, specifically in supporting contract formation specialist functions and creating various procurement documents. Your experience should be related to the Department of Defense's Program Executive Office (PEO), Project Manager (O6 PM), or Product Manager (O5 PdM) to be applicable for this position. Additionally, a Secret clearance is required.
