Job Description
We are seeking a highly independent and experienced Contract Specialist to serve as a key contributor across a fast-paced acquisition environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a “go-to” position—handling a wide range of contracting responsibilities with minimal oversight and ensuring mission success across multiple contract types.
Responsibilities
- Execute full lifecycle contracting support, including both pre-award and post-award activities
- Manage commercial and non-commercial acquisitions (e.g., GSA schedules, MAC orders, services contracts)
- Interpret and apply federal acquisition regulations and policies
- Serve as a primary contracting resource for internal stakeholders
- Coordinate with program offices and external partners to support procurement needs
- Ensure compliance with DoD and federal acquisition requirements
- Independently resolve contracting issues and provide strategic recommendations
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
- ~10+ years of experience supporting DoD or federal acquisition activities
- (Combination of contractor and government experience acceptable)
- Strong working knowledge of federal contracting processes and regulations
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Active Secret Clearance
- Experience equivalent to GS-12/13 (1102 series) level work
- Experience with GSA schedules and multi-award contract vehicles
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
