Job Summary:
As the cornerstone of our proposal management operations, you will:
  • Lead and manage high-stakes proposal opportunities, offering strategic and tactical insights to senior leadership and essential team members.
  • Be accountable for performance management within your team, driving excellence and innovation in our proposal processes.
  • Work collaboratively with account and technical teams to craft compliant and compelling proposals that resonate with our clients.
  • Provide expert leadership in proposal methodology, enhancing our capabilities with your knowledge and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct accountability for critical aspects of proposal management, including strategy development, process improvement, and team performance.
  • Spearhead the development of winning proposals, acting as a central figure in the proposal development process from initial solicitation evaluation to final submission.
  • Lead diverse proposal teams, guiding them to success and positively influencing our win rates through effective strategy and execution.
  • Drive the production and timely submission of deliverables, ensuring compliance and exceptional quality in all aspects of our proposals.

Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the aerospace/defense industry focusing on Federal Government proposal management and development.
  • Proven track record of leading complex proposals for Federal and Civil Agencies, including experience with SBIR and STTR submissions.
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional work experience.
  • Versatile experience across both medium/large and small business settings.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, with proficiency in public speaking and presentations.
  • Demonstrated leadership in strategic and tactical planning to enhance win probabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and willing to travel up to 25% on average.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any necessary clearances.

Additional Skills:
  • Training in formal capture/proposal methodologies and familiarity with industry-wide best practices.
  • Strong editorial skills and adherence to high standards.
  • A collaborative spirit, capable of working effectively with teams at all organizational levels.
  • Influential leadership skills, with the ability to adapt style and approach for maximum impact.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
