Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Hagerstown, MD
Pay Rate: $45.51 per hour
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of advanced aerospace systems. In this role, you will research, design, develop, and improve complex mechanical structures and systems for projects ranging from mission payloads and electronic systems to integrated aircraft and space platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical systems throughout the product lifecycle
- Conduct testing, certification, and deployment of new products and processes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure design and performance objectives are met
- Apply engineering principles and best practices to achieve high-quality, cost-effective solutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Practical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and CAE tools (CATIA V5/V6 preferred)
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design teams
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Skills:
- Background in aerospace or defense
- Experience with commercial derivative aircraft
- Familiarity with GD&T per ASME Y14.5
- Understanding of FEA, CFD, and thermal analysis
- Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design and manufacturing processes
