Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for early-career acquisition professionals to gain hands-on experience supporting major defense programs. You’ll work alongside experienced acquisition leaders and contribute directly to the planning and execution of mission-critical programs.
This role is ideal for someone who understands the fundamentals of DoD acquisitions and is ready to grow into a more advanced role.
Responsibilities
- Support acquisition lifecycle activities for defense programs
- Assist in developing acquisition documentation, schedules, and reports
- Track program milestones and ensure alignment with established timelines
- Coordinate with program teams and stakeholders to gather inputs
- Maintain acquisition records and documentation
- Support preparation of briefings and status updates
- Ensure compliance with DoD acquisition processes and policies
- 5+ years of experience supporting DoD acquisition or program environments
- Basic understanding of DoD 5000 series acquisition processes
- Experience supporting ACAT I/II programs (preferred)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Active Secret Clearance
- Experience supporting program managers or acquisition teams
- Familiarity with acquisition documentation (e.g., acquisition plans, milestone documentation)
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
