Job Description
Job Title: Acquisition Specialist II (TS Cleared)
Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Acquisition Specialists to support a government client's Procurement Section in Huntsville, AL. This role involves comprehensive acquisition planning, communication, tracking, reporting, logistics, pricing, and other support services. Coordination with various stakeholders, including Contracting Officers (CO), Office of General Counsel (OGC), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), and Program Managers, is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Support for Acquisition Career Management (ACM): Provide direct support to the ACM team, including Federal Acquisition Certification (FAC) programs and career development for the Bureau Acquisition Workforce.
- Facilitation of Training and Certification Programs: Facilitate acquisition training and certification programs such as FAC for Contract Specialists (CS), FAC-Contracting Officer Representatives (COR), and FAC Program and Project Manager (PPM).
- Administrative Point of Contact: Serve as the point of contact for ACM administrative matters, including portal data documentation of contract transitions, COR contract transitions, FAC repository updates, COR Exchange Program mentorship requests and agreements, PM program information requests, designation letters, and charters.
- Training Coordination: Assist the AAU Training Coordinator with maintaining the AAU New Employee Trainer Tracker for all new employee training for both government and contractor personnel.
- Inquiry Response and Data Collection: Respond to inquiries, conduct research, collect data, and disseminate program information.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- Active TS Clearance.
- Six (6) years of federal contracting experience covering relevant work listed above.
Preferred:
- FAC-C Level II or DAWIA Level II certification (preferred).
