Job Title: Junior Acquisition Specialist (TS Cleared)
Job Summary:
We are seeking Junior Acquisition Specialists to support a government client's Procurement Section in Huntsville, AL. The Junior Acquisition Specialist will handle a variety of pre- and post-award contracting functions, assist with acquisition planning, and contribute to the implementation of procurement strategies to ensure the availability of necessary supplies and services to meet mission requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Acquisition Planning Support: Assist in developing and executing acquisition strategies, ensuring effective procurement of supplies and services to meet mission needs.
- Market Research: Gather and analyze market information from various sources to identify potential suppliers and inform acquisition decisions.
- Documentation Preparation: Aid in the preparation and review of requirements documents, solicitation packages, and related procurement documentation.
- Solicitation and Proposal Handling: Support the preparation of written solicitations, manage the receipt of quotations/proposals, and assist in evaluating compliance with solicitation requirements.
- Contract Administration: Assist in managing contract tasks, including modifications, invoicing, and closeout activities.
- Small Business Participation: Identify opportunities for small businesses and other preference programs to participate in solicitations and support strategies to encourage their involvement.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support for acquisition activities, maintain records, track procurement actions, and respond to inquiries.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- Active TS Clearance.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of federal contracting experience covering relevant work listed above.
Preferred:
- FAC-C Level I or DAWIA Level I certification (preferred).
