We are in search of an experienced Quality Inspector who is passionate about ensuring the precision, accuracy, and excellence of hardware components. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections of components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
  • Oversee operations to guarantee compliance with production standards.
  • Propose modifications to the assembly or production process.
  • Examine and test materials and products during production.
  • Utilize measurement tools such as rulers, calipers, gauges, micrometers, etc.
  • Approve or decline finished items based on quality standards.
  • Remove any products or materials that don't meet specified criteria.
  • Communicate inspection outcomes with relevant personnel.
  • Record inspection and test data for further review.
  • Review materials from suppliers prior to production integration.
  • Stay updated on government and industry quality regulations and standards and communicate these to the team.
  • Compile and present metrics and reports to the quality manager.
  • Document insights and maintain a "lessons learned" database.
  • Execute First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102 standards.

Qualifications:
  • Must have experience in hardware acceptance and qualification testing.
  • Proficient in using measurement tools such as calipers, scales, micrometers, Faro Scan Arm, and height gauges.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify issues, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Familiarity with Aerospace and Defense standard Quality specifications.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, test procedures, and MIL standards.
  • Certifications in IPC620, IPC-610, and J-STD-001 are preferred.
  • Moderate computer literacy required.
  • Familiarity with Costpoint software is an advantage.
  • Training or familiarity with AS9100D QMS requirements.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Education/Experience:
  • Technical and/or High School Degree. Additional qualifications are beneficial.
  • Prior relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical operations and able to interpret data visualizations such as bar graphs.
