Technical Writer I
Location:Â This position can be based in Sparks, NV or 100% Remote
Pay:Â $30.04/hr
We’re seeking an entry-level Technical Writer I to join our aerospace and defense documentation team. In this role, you’ll work closely with subject matter experts to create clear, accurate technical content that supports complex systems and projects.

We’re seeking an entry-level Technical Writer I to join our aerospace and defense documentation team. In this role, you’ll work closely with subject matter experts to create clear, accurate technical content that supports complex systems and projects.
What You’ll Do
- Write and edit engineering documents, test plans, procedures, and operator/maintenance manuals
- Collaborate with engineers and program staff to ensure accuracy and clarity
- Review and update documentation to meet customer, company, and industry standards
- Organize and manage documentation for accessibility and version control
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Engineering, or related field
- 0–2 years of technical writing experience (internship or co-op experience a plus)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and XML/SGML
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with aerospace/defense terminology and documentation standards
- Experience with CMS, PLM systems, and tools like Adobe FrameMaker
