About the Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity supporting cutting-edge defense technology for one of our clients. This position is fully on-site at the Research and Development Lab in Columbia, Maryland, where you will contribute to the development of the Aegis Display Subsystem used in national defense applications.

About the Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity supporting cutting-edge defense technology for one of our clients. Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed Software Engineering design documentation.

Develop, integrate, and test software using modern development tools in an agile team environment.

Write object-oriented C++ and Java code in a Linux-based ecosystem.

Present technical content in engineering peer reviews and to customers as needed.

Occasionally travel to customer sites to support software investigations, testing, or integration efforts.
Required Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

Must possess an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance.

2–6 years of professional experience using C++ and Linux.

Strong problem-solving and technical documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

Familiarity with Java programming.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
