Job Description
Shipping & Receiving Clerk – Huntsville, Alabama
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This role is responsible for receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, verifying shipments for accuracy, and maintaining proper inventory records. Pay range is $20–22/hr, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders
- Inspect for damages/discrepancies and report as needed
- Sort, label, and store materials in designated areas
- Update and maintain accurate inventory records
- Assist with outgoing shipments, inventory counts, and audits
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Cross-train in shipping and inventory procedures
- Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of warehouse or receiving experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
- Familiarity with warehouse, dock, and railway procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills
