Job Description
Aircraft Inspector IV – Hagerstown, MD
Pay Rate: $48/hr
We are looking for a highly skilled Aircraft Inspector IV to join our team in Hagerstown, MD. In this role, you will use your expertise to inspect aircraft, systems, equipment, and parts to ensure strict compliance with manufacturer specifications and government regulations. You will hold authority over all in-process inspections, all final inspections, and approvals for return to service of all work performed.
Key Duties:
- Perform detailed inspections to confirm airworthiness and regulatory compliance.
- Identify, document, and resolve non-conformities.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections across all levels of work.
- Approve return to service for all completed work.
- Work in diverse conditions, including outdoor elements, loud environments, and areas with hazardous materials.
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- Active, current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification
- Advanced knowledge of aircraft, systems, equipment, and inspection processes
- Strong background in product audit and inspection procedures
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Inspection Authorization (IA) designation
- Thorough understanding of 14 CFR Chapter 1 and FAA Repair Station operations
- Experience with first article inspections and aircraft modifications
- Background in Aerospace & Defense, U.S. Department of Defense, or Military
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for experience; related experience considered
